FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FREE E-WASTE DROP-OFF DAY IN REDLANDS: JULY 25, 2009
A Community Event to Promote Proper Disposal of Electronics

Redlands, California (July 13, 2009) - On Saturday July 25, 2009 The Clean PC, a local computer services shop in Redlands, will be sponsoring a free e-waste drop-off day. Everyone from the local community is invited to stop by and drop-off common e-waste items, such as computers (towers, laptops, and others), computer displays or monitors, hard drives, televisions, printers, copiers, small batteries, audio/visual equipment, circuit boards, and cell phones.

California law requires the proper disposal of electronic waste. Electronics, such as the ones listed above, cannot be thrown-away in the regular trash, they must be properly discarded according to California law. This event gives the people of the community an easy way to dispose of old electronics, and is an effort to give back to the community, helping to promote awareness of the need to properly recycle hazardous electronics.

Since opening our doors in Redlands in year 2005 The Clean PC has maintained a company policy to properly recycle e-waste items; in addition we also have a program to recycle cardboard, paper, plastic and other common items.

During this event The Clean PC will also offer a free physical cleaning and inspection service to any individual who brings in his or her computer. Discounted services and refreshments will also be offered.

The Clean PC is located at 250 West Stuart Avenue, in Redlands, California, in downtown Redlands, across from the Krikorian Theater and near the Vons shopping center.
